A better way to become a self-taught programmer, a dive into Zuri Internship

What if I tell you that, there is a better way to go about the coding journey as a developer.

I have been on this journey for some months and it feels overwhelming I don’t know how easy you might have found being a developer but here’s what I can tell you coding is not hard when you have someone guiding you. Yes, that’s the absolute truth you need guidance. I remember watching series of videos in Sept. 2020 when I started my journey as a software developer. It was really fun and interesting, you should be able to relate the feeling of writing your first HTML and it displays in your browser you immediately feel like a superhuman.

Fast forward to 2021, I resumed school as a sophomore in dental school to continue with my degree as a dentist however I began to forget what I learned and I started feeling less of a developer as I haven’t built as many projects as I should which makes me ineligible to call myself a web developer publicly. Still, with a burning passion to learn and grow, I enrolled in many programs while in school this ranged from taking freecodecamp courses, udemy courses, watching youtube videos on Figma design, Git Hub, HTML & CSS, Javascript, etc.

However, with all of this, some problems were still present and this is since I was self-taught and had no guidance in what I was doing so I opt-in for a more inclusive program which first was Google Africa Developers Scholarship and the second being Zuri Internship. I will focus more on the Zuri internship here.

Zuri internship is what I called the final bus stop for all self-taught developers, marketers, entrepreneurs, business elites, and others.

I enrolled in this sponsored program to enhance my skills and become a better developer as it's best known as a boot camp for everyone, which means even as a student or a worker you can be an intern.

The tasks become progressively tough as you go deep into the training program.

I honestly see this as a way to grow and also meet other developers and become better at it. I sincerely believe this will materialize in the nearest future as I hope to become a known developer and as a starter which I regard myself I see no better way to actually work with this team and I look forward to better things I can do.
